A woman has been charged after 11 children were bitten by a dog in a park in Northumberland.
Fathers ran to help when children were attacked by a Staffordshire bull terrier-type dog on Wednesday evening in Blyth.
Nine children needed hospital treatment after the incident at the fenced-off park.
Claire Neale, 37, of Blyth, who was arrested on suspicion of having a dog dangerously out of control, was due to appear at South East Northumberland magistrates court on Saturday morning.
Two people helping police with their inquiries had been released on bail, Northumbria police said on Friday.
Supt Mick Paterson said: “Investigations into this incident are ongoing and I urge anyone with any information to contact the police.
“We will continue to have extra neighbourhood officers in the area speaking to those involved and offering reassurance to local residents who have any concerns.”
Police can be reached on the non-emergency telephone number, 101.
