Preacher got hit with baseball bat by a woman, for saying women deserved to be raped

Guess some women are taking Beyoncé's lemonade moves seriously with the use of baseball bats.

A street preacher in Arizona who held up a sign saying “You deserve to be raped” was hit over the head with a baseball bat by a woman who became enraged at his hateful rhetoric.

Brother Dean Saxton was standing outside Apollo High School in Glendale, Arizona, loudly condemning students and members of the LGBT community, when he was approached by a 19-year-old student with a baseball bat.

His camera was still rolling as students standing around wooped and cheered.

Tabitha Brubaker has been charged felony assault and marijuana possession by police, as reported by Mr Saxton posted the video to YouTube, where he is shouting condemnation through a loudspeaker at students on the opposite pavement.

He called for students to “change your evil ways” and stop “worshipping Satan”.

“You’re bad. You’re wicked. You’re evil,” Mr Saxton called out, wearing sunglasses under the shade of a tree.

Ivory Coast’s former first lady Simone Gbagbo will be tried for crimes against humanity starting Tuesday, having already been jailed for 20 years for her part in 2010’s post-electoral violence.

The wife of former Ivorian president Laurent Gbagbo is currently being held in Abidjan after being convicted of “attacking state authority” over her role in the post-election violence that left more than 3,000 people dead.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague had wanted to prosecute Gbagbo in the case, issuing a warrant for her arrest but Ivorian authorities refused to hand her over, claiming that she would face a fair trial at home.

Ivorian prosecutors had originally held off trying her for crimes against humanity while negotiations 
were ongoing with their counterparts in The Hague.

Update on woman charged to court after 11 children were bitten by dog

Claire Neal, 37, of Chasedale Crescent, Blyth, pleaded not guilty to a charge of being the owner of a dog that was dangerously out of control.

Three of the children were taken to hospital after the incident in Blyth on Wednesday.

Ms Neal was remanded in custody by magistrates in Newcastle and will next appear at crown court on 3 June.

Northumbria Police said two other people arrested have been bailed and their investigation is continuing.

Woman charged, after 11 children were bitten by dog

A woman has been charged after 11 children were bitten by a dog in a park in Northumberland.

Fathers ran to help when children were attacked by a Staffordshire bull terrier-type dog on Wednesday evening in Blyth.

Nine children needed hospital treatment after the incident at the fenced-off park.

Claire Neale, 37, of Blyth, who was arrested on suspicion of having a dog dangerously out of control, was due to appear at South East Northumberland magistrates court on Saturday morning.

Two people helping police with their inquiries had been released on bail, Northumbria police said on Friday.

Supt Mick Paterson said: “Investigations into this incident are ongoing and I urge anyone with any information to contact the police.

Identity of rescued Chibok girl remains unproven

There has been so much controversies on the recent news about the Chibok girls the Nigerian army claimed to have found.

Two parents of the abducted Chibok girls say they are doubtful about the identity of a second girl, Serah Luka, reportedly rescued by Nigerian troops.

A spokesperson of the Nigerian Army made the claim on Thursday.

In separate phone interviews with SaharaReporters, however, the parents said they have yet to be shown the girl, a full 24 hours after she was said to have been rescued, and affirmed they do not have a Serah Luka on their list of the kidnapped girls.

One of the of parents, Lawan Hannah who is the secretary of the Parents Association of the Abducted Girls from Chibok, said the army ought to have brought the rescued girl to Chibok for identification before releasing her name and photograph to the public.

One Chibok Girl Rescued Along With A Suspected Boko Haram Member As Her Husband

Amina Ali, who was rescued on Wednesday, was abducted along with over 200 of her schoolmates in the Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok in the middle of the night in April 2014.

Our correspondent in Maiduguri, Blessing Tunoh, reports that a member of the Civilian JTF, involved in the rescue said “six of her classmates have died in captivity”, adding that “throughout their stay in Sambisa Forest, they were heavily guarded”.

The rescued mother of one said for now, she is not aware of the condition of the girls still in captivity.

Secretary of the Association of Parents of the Abducted Chibok Girls, Zanna Usman confirmed Amina’s return to Channels TV Correspondent via a phone call.

Usman said that Amina, who was found with a child with other women in Sambisa, following military operations told the civilian JTF members that she was taken from Chibok.

The autopsy report of the late victim has left so many people divided on who to blame for Ronke's death. The Nation newspaper reported that, AN autopsy report has indicated that the late Mrs. Ronke Shonde, allegedly killed by her husband, might have died from Acute Respiratory Seizure (ARS), bruises and water in the head.

It was gathered that the result of the autopsy, conducted at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital  (LASUTH) was taken to the Police State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department  (SCIID) at Panti, Yaba last night.

The autopsy put the cause of death as myocardial infarction.

50 Women in Jigawa State Enpowered With Tie And Dye Training

It is encouraging to note that the contributive effort of a woman financially and economically in the family, community and society is receiving the attention that it needs. Jigawa state now has 50 of its women in Tie and Dye training.

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has commenced training of 50 women in Tie and Dye making in Jigawa under the directorate’s Women Employment Promotion (WEP).

The Directorate’s Coordinator in the state, Alhaji Muhammad Sambo, said this while inspecting the training session on Tuesday in Dutse Local Government Area.

Sambo said the beneficiaries were drawn from the state`s North-Central Senatorial District comprising Dutse, Buji, Birninkudu, Kiyawa, Gwaram, Miga and Jahun local government areas.

National Industrial Court asked to shelve its planned strike

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) was on Tuesday asked by the National Industrial Court to shelve its planned strike pending the determination of a suit filed by the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) challenging the decision.

The NLC, the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) and their civil society allies on Sunday gave the Federal Government till 12 midnight on Tuesday, 17th May, 2016 to revert to the old pump price of petrol or face a nationwide shut down of the economy.

28 year old Man killed his parents and sisters in Yobe

A 28 year old man, Adamu Mai Bisco on Monday night hacked his parents and two sisters to death in Potiskum town of Yobe state.

Police in Yobe have confirmed the incident.

The Police Public Relation Officer in Yobe State ASP Toyin Gbadegesin explained the four victims were murdered in their sleep with a shovel without being provoked.

The police also attributed the action of the suspect of being under the influence of hard drugs.
