Masters Energy President Uche Ogah, Should Be Governor Of Abia State

Four days after the Federal High Court in Abuja reaffirmed the sacking of Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu as Abia State governor, concerned groups have called for the inauguration of Uche Ogah as governor.

Justice Okon Abang had, in a resumed hearing on Friday, refused to grand Ikpeazu’s application for stay of execution of his earlier judgment sacking him and directing the Independent National Electoral Com­mission (INEC) to issue Certificate of Return to Ogah.

The judge had said that since Ikpeazu’s appeal had been registered at the Court of Appeal, there was no need for the High Court to entertain any application. He, therefore, dismissed Ikpeazu’s application and that of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which he described as abuse of court process.

Justice Abang, however, reaffirmed the sacking of Ikpeazu as governor over the alleged tax evasion.

Ogah had sued Ikpeazu, alleging that the tax cer­tificates he submitted were not valid. Justice Abang agreed and, therefore, ruled that Ikpeazu was not qualified to have contested as governor. He directed that Ogah, who came second in the PDP primaries held in December 2014, should be given certificate of return and sworn in immediately. INEC had com­plied and issued Ogah certificate of return.

Wife of Nigerian Vice President Visit The Home Of Murdered Preacher

The wife of the Vice President of Nigeria, and a member of  Redeem Christian Church of God Mrs Osinbajo visited the home of the murdered preacher.

It was a sad Saturday for residents of Pipeline, Kubwa, a suburb of the Federal Capital Territory, when a 42-year-old woman, Deaconess Eunice Olawale, was murdered in cold blood as she was observing her early morning preaching near her house.

The incident, which took place at the early hours of Saturday, July 9, left the entire neighbourhood speechless and confused.

Information gathered by Nigerian Tribune revealed that as she was being attacked, she was shouting and crying “blood of Jesus, somebody help me” until her voice was heard no more.

Some residents confirmed that they heard the voice of the woman as she was crying for help, but they couldn’t help because the perpetrators of the act were armed.

When Nigerian Tribune visited her residence on Sunday, in Kubwa, Abuja, hundreds of sympathisers, especially members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), where until her death, she was a deaconess, were there to mourn with her family.

The wife of the Vice President, Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo, visited the family, sympathised with them and prayer session was held for the family.

Grandfather killed by his grandson in Imo state

The people of Umuoke Otulu Ahiara Auton­omous community in Ahiazu Mbaise Council Area of Imo State are still in shock, weeks after 22-year-old Chukwuebuka Umunna allegedly hacked his grandfather, a centenarian, to death.

Umunna committed the horrible and abom­inable act on June 11, 2016, because his grand­father, Anusiem Umunna, had reprimanded and advised him to be of good behaviour.

As Sunday Sun learnt from Chigaemezu Umunna, younger brother of the murder suspect, trouble started when the deceased instructed Chukwuebuka to fetch bamboo sticks to support yam tendrils in their farms on that fateful day.

Chigamezu said that the suspect ordered him to leave the house or he would deal with him severely. To avoid a confrontation, he left the house, but when he returned, Chigaemezu said that he found their grandfather dead on his seat with deep machete cut on his head with blood oozing from his nose and his mouth. Instantly, he raised the alarm, which attracted neighbours who rushed in to witness the sacrilege.

THE Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) on Saturday visited the scene of a recent explosion of a 750kv transformer that killed about six residents and left several others injured.

The explosion which happened at the Tundun Wada part of Lugbe, in Abuja penultimate Saturday electrocuted a pregnant woman, among others, who were trying to turn-off their electronic sets during the incident.

Eyewitnesses who spoke with Sunday Tribune explained that prior to the explosion, some officials had come to disconnect wires of electricity debtors, adding that few minutes after they left, the explosion took place.

British Woman On Death Row For 10 Years In Texas May Escape Death

A British woman who has been on death row in Texas for 14 years has been given renewed hope that she might be spared execution by an appeal hearing at which devastating evidence was presented that prosecutors had coerced false testimony from key witnesses.

Linda Carty, 57, has a high profile in Texas as one of just six women facing execution in the state and as a British citizen by dint of her birth in St Kitts at a time when the Caribbean island was still a British colony. Her case has been highlighted in documentaries and championed by the likes of Bianca Jagger and the British government.

Carty has always protested her innocence on charges that in 2001 she commissioned three men to carry out the kidnapping and murder of her neighbour, Joana Rodriguez, in a plot to steal the victim’s three-day old baby. Previous attempts to appeal her death sentence have failed, despite the absence of any forensic evidence against her and the fact that she was represented at trial by a defense lawyer who spent only two weeks preparing the case.

Two men arrested for stabbing a woman in Portsmouth

There are bad people everywhere, evidently we all need to be safety conscious and always be our neighbour's keeper as expected.

The 35-year-old victim was attacked outside Barclays Bank in London Road, North End, Portsmouth at about 15:20 BST on Saturday.

The men, aged 41 and 42, were arrested on suspicion of murder and conspiracy to murder. They are both in police custody.

It is understood the victim's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police said they are appealing for witnesses.

An Ado-Ekiti Customary Court on Friday saved a 10-year-old marriage from dissolution by striking out the divorce petition by Oye Aluko against his wife, Tosin.

The President of the court, Mr Joseph Ogunsemi, struck out the petition after counselling the parties on how to live in harmony.

Ogunsemi urged the couple to maintain the peace in the interest of the future of their children.

Aluko had filed the petition citing stubbornness, frequent fighting and lack of rest of mind as grounds for dissolution.

Ugbaja was arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on a one-count of rape.

According to police prosecutor, Inspector Samuel Imohsonwa, the suspect serially raped his victim between January and May this year.

UAE Government Advised It's Citizens On Their Dressing Abroad

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has advised its men to avoid wearing the white robes, headscarf and headband of the national dress when travelling abroad, after a businessman visiting the United States was wrestled to the ground and held as an Islamic State suspect.

UAE media reported that the Emirati man was detained in Avon, Ohio, last week after a female clerk at a local hotel called 911 to report what she had described as a man affiliated to Islamic State, according to the Arabic-language al-Bayan newspaper. It only identified him by his initials.

The English language version of The National said the receptionist at the Fairfield Inn hotel called the police after she heard the man talking on his phone in the hotel lobby.

54 year old man abducted and raped 11 year old girl

The cases of abused women and girls is on the increase in Nigeria. It is our collective responsibility to ensure the safety of our sisters, wives, daughters and mothers.

A 54-year-old man, Gbenga Adebayo, has been remanded in prison custody by a Magistrate’s court in Ado Ekiti, for allegedly abducting and defiling an 11-year-old girl.

It was gathered that Adebayo lured the girl to his aged mother’s place in Ushi Ekiti, about 60km from Ado Ekiti, where he was allegedly visiting her regularly and sleeping with her.

Adebayo deceived neighbours by joining the search team for the girl.

Bubble, however, burst when the girl refused to cooperate with him again and demanded to see her family.

Adebayo then took her to one of her aunts in Akure, whom she lied to that he found the girl wandering about.

Fashion is the manner of doing or making something.  The word manner ion its own means “way in which a thing is done or happens”.
This tells us that fashion is inevitable in our day to day life, we shall be looking at the dress sense for a start.  The dress sense does not have to do with clothes alone, the face make-up, hair dressing, shoes, bag and belt fittings are inclusive of the dress sense.  The dress sense has to do with, these things listed below.

FACTORS IMPORTANT IN HAVING A GOOD DRESS-SENSE

(1) Colours 

(2) Dressing for weather 

(3) Affordable, simple and neat

(4) My dressing and my appointment.

We will be looking at these factors one after the other.  Let’s start with the colours.

COLORS
Colors can be said as substance that makes something red, blue, yellow, black etc.

Colour is to make something coloured rather than just black white, or plain.

How to dress in a stylish colourful fashion: The major thing you have to be used to is to be able to match the colours together in order to come out beautiful.  If one colour matches another it looks attractive together because of the similarity in the colors

Preacher got hit with baseball bat by a woman, for saying women deserved to be raped

Guess some women are taking Beyoncé's lemonade moves seriously with the use of baseball bats.

A street preacher in Arizona who held up a sign saying “You deserve to be raped” was hit over the head with a baseball bat by a woman who became enraged at his hateful rhetoric.

Brother Dean Saxton was standing outside Apollo High School in Glendale, Arizona, loudly condemning students and members of the LGBT community, when he was approached by a 19-year-old student with a baseball bat.

His camera was still rolling as students standing around wooped and cheered.

Tabitha Brubaker has been charged felony assault and marijuana possession by police, as reported by Mr Saxton posted the video to YouTube, where he is shouting condemnation through a loudspeaker at students on the opposite pavement.

He called for students to “change your evil ways” and stop “worshipping Satan”.

“You’re bad. You’re wicked. You’re evil,” Mr Saxton called out, wearing sunglasses under the shade of a tree.

Ex Firstlady of Côte d'Ivoire Faces Trial

Behind every successful or failed man, there is a woman.

Ivory Coast’s former first lady Simone Gbagbo will be tried for crimes against humanity starting Tuesday, having already been jailed for 20 years for her part in 2010’s post-electoral violence.

The wife of former Ivorian president Laurent Gbagbo is currently being held in Abidjan after being convicted of “attacking state authority” over her role in the post-election violence that left more than 3,000 people dead.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague had wanted to prosecute Gbagbo in the case, issuing a warrant for her arrest but Ivorian authorities refused to hand her over, claiming that she would face a fair trial at home.

Ivorian prosecutors had originally held off trying her for crimes against humanity while negotiations 
were ongoing with their counterparts in The Hague.
